After a recent trip to Atlanta I was inspired to clean my basement. Actually, I was inspired to get a room downstairs that is unfinished into a studio space the kids and their friends could work in. When I saw the blank walls, (cinderblock) I thought it would be fun to let the kids ‘graffiti’ the walls. It is a work in progress, but it is looking awesome! All their friends love coming over to spray paint, which has made a fun place for them and their friends. To me, the more layered the walls become, the more interesting it is. This is good for many reasons, it makes it a ‘safe’ zone where anything goes...and, you don’t have to worry about covering anyone else’s stuff! |
