We found a living museum which depicted life at the time the fort was working. The kids had a good time looking at the exhibits. The leatherworker was GREAT, very personable! |

After we went to San Marcos we ventured over the town of St Augustine. We had lunch at a place called “Crackers” which is like a Florida name for a redneck we learned. |

He gathered a green egg from the hen house, and showed the kids how to make a chicken ‘jump’ then we headed over to his leather shop where he explained the finer points of his craft. |

Rekindled, Malena and Nick looked for limes. They ended up picking and gathering enough to make a lot of limeade...and they were good in Corona’s too! |

This guy was the scribe for the church. His job was very taxing, and he clearly took it all very seriously. Mom, don't you think this would be too cool above your island in the kitchen?? Mom? Are you reading this far down? Dad? You can build this right? Piece of cake! |
