The Quarry Tour

The Roots and Shoots Group went on a tour of a local quarry.  It was the best!  They took us down into the quarry where they gather the rock, and gave a slide show on the local wildlife that inhabit the quarry’s land.  The kids especially liked seeing this big truck crush some coke cans!  It was too cool! 

The kids made thank you cards for the speaker of the quarry and showed the things they liked best about the tour.  Spencer liked the deep cavern, Audrey the big truck, and Malena made a comic strip about all the things she liked...which was just about everything!
