You all may recall the story of Mrs. Frisby and the Rats on Nimh.  Well, we had a little moment like that here at our house this morning.  I was clearing a garden in the back by the shed.  When I finished raking the leaves...I heard squeaks.

This is her nest.  Yes, I dug it up...because it was obvious she was not returning.  She now has her babies under the shed.
