On the Journey North website, they are keeping track of sunrises and sunsets around the country. This is helping to explain how your Longitude and Latitude influence your sunrise and sets. I decided it would be fun to follow sunrises and sets with some friends of ours who moved away. One is in Minnesota, and the other in Florida. This is where we are keeping track of the data, and we will post what conclusions we’ve come to. |

Our question of the week is, why is JAX sunrise later than Washington D.C.? Jacksonville’s sunrise is later than Washington DC because if you look at a map, believe it or not, Jacksonville is quite a bit farther west than DC is! |
