Today we went on our yearly family apple picking outing.  It is always fun for the kids to get into the trees, get eaten alive by gnats, pick apples, climb more trees, oh, and pee in the apple field.  Yes, it is a real wholesome family event.  This year was no different!  We did all that, and finished the day with a HUGE caramel apple!  We even got to see them make fresh pressed apple juice—and brought some home!  This afternoon Spencer made an apple pie, and it was PERFECT!

As if eating an apple with no teeth wasn’t hard enough, Malena decided to try her first caramel apple.  Well, it is now in the fridge waiting for me to cut it up into more manageable pieces!  Above you can see the apple press and the juice making!
