After Beth left, we had a few hours to kill before dinner with Terry and Mandy so we headed to the Amon Carter museum. It was just the right size for a quick visit, and it was FREE! The collection was American art and was largely a combination of 19th and 20th century artists, and a room devoted entirely to photography. |
We had been to an O'Keeffe exhibit in DC, but it was centered around her New Mexico work. It was cool to see her flowers! |
One of my favorite artists is Demuth. I love his graphic simplicity, and my favorite painting was his “Figure 5 in Gold” However, the gift shop had this one in poster form, and I could not resist it! I think it will look quite nice in my kitchen! |
